Research
No luck finding your name on our website? Cambridge Museum could still hold a key to your Cambridge research.
We have an extensive collection of objects and archives focusing on the history of Cambridge, its districts and people and a large biography card index. Information is available for general or family research.
Please email your requests on anything relating to Cambridge New Zealand names and subjects with as much relevant detail as possible and we will do the research.
Image Service Prices and Guidelines (including GST)
Initial enquiry (half hour) and use of the research room is free.
Subsequent time spent | $25 per half hour
Cost for supply of images (per image)
The prices below are for supply of images for either private use or publication.
Copying B&W per page
A4 size | 20c each
A3 size | 40c each
Digital images
Scanned image emailed per page | $1
Payment details
Please inform staff if you require an invoice. The following payment options are available:
* Cash at Museum reception
* Cheque made out to Cambridge Museum and posted to: The Cambridge Museum, The Old Courthouse, 24 Victoria Street. Cambridge 3434
* Online bank deposit to Cambridge Museum 03 1568 0041635 01. Please include your surname and “Research” as a reference
Cost for licence to publish images (per image for single use)
The prices below are for licence to publish images. These are in addition to costs for supply of images.
Publication fees
$50-$200 depending on publication type.
Hard-copy photographic prints
$10-$40 depending on size.
Reproduction regulations are consistent with copyright laws.
Please credit photos to Cambridge Museum.
