Mahé Drysdale

Mahé Drysdale was an Olympic and World Champion Single Sculls rower.  He began rowing at the age of 18 and won his first World Champion title eight years later in 2005 in Japan.  Mahé held this title five times.  He is the winner of two Olympic gold medals from the London and Rio de Janeiro games in 2012 and 2016, and a bronze medal from the Beijing games in 2008.

Mahé has been recognised for his service to rowing through his Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) in 2009.  He is also the recipient of the Sportsman of the Year award and the Halberg award.
