Tracey Fear
-
Tracey Fear played in two Netball World Cups– 1983 and 1987 (which the Silver Ferns won) – and was part of a dominant Silver Ferns era which included winning the 1985 World Games title.
As a goal keeper she had a reputation for being the standout keeper of her era both domestically and internationally. Her athletic abilities and uncompromising attitude made her a force to be reckoned with and an example for later generations to follow.
She fulfilled the captaincy role (as 12th Silver Ferns captain) for just the one year in 1988 before retiring.
