Trevor Discombe

Trevor Discombe was a motorcycle racer.  Between 1965 and 1981 Trevor earned an impressive record on the Australasian and Asian motorcycling stage, including 24 New Zealand titles and a number of Asian title victories:

  • 1966, 67, 71 & 75 NZ 350cc Tourist Trophy (TT) Title.
  • 1966, 67, 68, 69 & 74 NZ 350cc Grand Prix Title.
  • 1971 NZ 500cc TT Title.
  • 1970 N.Z. 500cc Grand Prix Title.
  • 1974, 75 & 77 NZ 700cc Open Grand Prix Title.
  • 1967 NZ 350cc Road Hill Climb Championship.
  • 1967 NZ 500cc Road Hill Climb Championship.
  • 1972, 74 & 75 NZ Road Race Champs (8 race series).
  • 1973 NZ 350cc Off-road Champs.

Trevor was sponsored by Air New Zealand and Yamaha and competed in events in Asia:

  • 1971 Kuala Lumpar 350cc Grand Prix.
  • 1971, 76, 77 & 78 Kuala Lumpar 500cc Grand Prix.
  • 1971, 72, 73 & 76 Malaysian 500cc Grand Prix.
  • 1971 & 73 Indonesian 500cc Grand Prix.
  • 1973 & 78 Penang 350cc Grand Prix.
  • 1974 Australian 700cc Mount Panorama.
