Friends Event: Make a Day of It in Morrinsville

Join us for a fascinating afternoon exploring the history, heritage and creativity of our neighbouring district.

Travelling by minibus from Cambridge, we will journey through Te Miro, over the Maungakawa Hills and through Kiwitahi, with commentary along the way, including the site of the historic Māori Parliament.

In Morrinsville, we will enjoy a visit to the Morrinsville Museum, followed by lunch at Oak Eatery in the Lockerbie Estate. After lunch, we will tour the historic Nottingham Castle Hotel and hear about its colourful past and surprising connections to Cambridge. The afternoon concludes with a visit to the Morrinsville Art Gallery before returning to Cambridge via Tauwhare. A relaxed day of local history and good company.

Cost: $35 per person, including transport and admission to all venues. Lunch not included. Limited to 11 places, so book quickly.
