Cambridge Historical Society AGM

You are invited to the Cambridge Historical Society Incorporated’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday 17 September 2026 at 6.30pm.
The meeting will be held at at the Cambridge Bridge Club, 14 Fort Street, and we would be delighted if you would join us. (Directions here)
The AGM is an opportunity to look back over the past year, hear how the Society is progressing and consider the year ahead. It is also when members elect the Officers and Committee who will help guide the Society for the coming year.
As we approach a new year, there are opportunities for members who may be interested in becoming more involved with the Society, whether by standing for the Committee or simply finding out more about what is involved. You do not need to have previous committee experience. An interest in the Society, its purpose and its future is a good place to start.

Following the formal AGM, at 7.00pm, we will welcome Maree Mills, Curator at Waikato Museum Te Whare Taonga o Waikato, who will speak about the new Whakahokia! exhibition.
Call for Committee Nominations
At the AGM, we will be voting in the 2026/7 Committee.
If you are interested in becoming a committee member, we’d love to have you on board. It is a fantastic way to give back to the community, meet new people, and gain a deeper understanding of the fascinating histories of the Cambridge area. (Read more about the roles here)

- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Committee members

How to nominate committee members
You can nominate yourself or another member of the Historical Society for any position on the committee. Collect nomination forms at the Cambridge Museum front desk, or download them here. Once completed, either return them to the Museum or email them to Jo at secretary.cbhs@gmail.com.
