DISPLAY: A Pilot’s Legacy Across Two Nations

Flying Officer Donald Lane Taylor left Cambridge at 18, one of 26 young men bound for war in Europe. He never came home.

In New Zealand, his family preserved the memory of a promising young man – sportsman, son, brother and airman.  A street was named after him.

In Holland, the people of Onnen who had lived under Nazi occupation never forgot the pilot’s sacrifice to free them.

These two threads of memory found each other and the full picture of Don Taylor can be shared today.
